For this project, I had to think of an imagined future and design a prototype for that future. A current issue in society today is the gender pay gap and the difference in careers that men and women choose to pursue. The idea for this book was about the importance of symbolic representation and young girls and women being able to see women in positions of power, in careers that are male-dominated and knowing that is something they can aspire to. This book is fiction that tells the story of a young woman in a male-dominated profession. I designed the book cover and wrote a one-page excerpt.
